About
Stella Odile is a self-taught oil painter residing in Leipzig, Germany. Her artistic journey is deeply rooted in a fascination with classical techniques, as she dedicates herself to mastering the methods and materials employed by the Old Masters. Through her work, she creates visually captivating worlds that delve into the realms of the human figure, nature and organic forms, infusing them with a sense of surrealism and ethereal beauty. Her paintings often carry a dreamlike quality, with each piece balancing on the fine line between the serene and the unsettling.
After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Radboud University in Nijmegen in 2023, her artistic process is fueled by a profound desire to explore the subconscious mind, the nuances of perception, and the intricate depths and twists of the human psyche.
Her ability to evoke emotion through contrast of the beautiful and the bizarre allows her to create art that feels both timeless and contemporary, pushing the boundaries of traditional painting while honoring its rich historical foundation.
